FAQ

This is my first photoshoot, what should I know?

For your first photoshoot, the biggest thing to know is that you do not need to know how to pose perfectly or “perform” for the camera. Your shoot is guided step by step, with direction, simple adjustments, and a relaxed pace so you can settle in and feel comfortable.

Expect the first few minutes to feel slightly awkward, then ease into it. Trust the process. The best images often come once you relax.

For family and fitness shoots especially, movement and connection matter more than perfection. The goal is to capture you in a way that feels authentic, easy, and true to your energy.

What should we wear?

Wear something that feels like you and makes you feel confident.

For family photos, think coordinated, not cloned. The sweetest images usually come from clothes that feel like your family, comfortable, relaxed, and a little bit styled, without looking too “done.”

I’d suggest starting with one outfit you love and building the rest around it, then mixing in soft tones, texture, and a few pieces with movement so everything feels layered and interesting. Avoid anything too loud or logo-heavy, and choose outfits you can actually move in because the best family photos usually happen when everyone can breathe, cuddle, laugh, and play.

Can you recommend any good locations?

Hong Kong has such a versatile feel for shoots. You can go coastal, urban, or green depending on the mood you want to create. From beaches and harbour views to city streets and quieter natural spaces, it’s a place that can feel polished, energetic, or relaxed all at once.

What I love about Hong Kong is that it offers contrast, which makes the shoot feel more interesting and personal. Whether you’re drawn to the sea, the skyline, or somewhere more open and natural, there’s always a setting that can reflect your vibe.

For newborns your home is the perfect safe space to capture your little one.

What if the weather is bad on the day of an outdoor shoot?

If the weather takes a turn, whether it’s amber rain or a typhoon, we can always reschedule to the next available slot.

That said, Hong Kong is famously unpredictable, with all four seasons sometimes arriving in the same hour, so if you’re happy to lean into it, we can absolutely embrace the weather and make it part of the story.

Say hello. Let's work together.

The best way to begin is with a quick call so I can answer all your questions and we can get to know each other to see if we’re a good fit in terms of style and approach.
